Entry 5: Something that happened in school

It was sRemove Formatting from selectionupposed to be a glorious day for me, as there were only three subjects that day, namely Physical Education, Physics and Design and Technology. Morover, two of those subjects does not require us to sit in class listening to a teacher, and Physical Education is my favourite subject as I love to run around.

However when I woke up, it was raining, so there was only a slim chance that we could play outdoors. Luckily after flag raising, the weather took for a change and it became bright and sunny. Thus, that only means one thing: We could have our beloved physical education lesson!

The teacher let us play soccer that day, so when we all took to the field, I was so estatic that I forgot that the ground was still wet and slippery. I thought that nothing would happen to me, so I ran around like usual, chasing after every ball like a mad dog.

Then suddenly, when I was passing the ball to my team mate, I lost my footing, slipped and fell head first to the ground. The field is also made of artificial turf and the turf were laid on a cement floor, so that does not help to cushion my fall but it made the impact of the knock on my head even harder. In no time, I started to see everything in pairs, and I started to "sleep".

About five minutes later, as my friend told me, I regained consciousness, but I could only vaugely see the whole class around me, as my vision was still blurred. My whole head then started to ache and I felt like vomitting. I also felt very tired and immediately went to the sick bay to wait for my parents to bring me to the doctor.

Fortunately, the doctor said that I did not suffer any internal injuries, only bruises to the head. However , I had to pay a price for my recklessness and had to miss the next day's C Division hockey match in case or aggrivation to the bruises on my head. After this unfortunate incident which happened in school, I vowed that I would be careful while playing and not be too over enthusiastic, especially when the ground is wet and slippery.
