I love Saturdays, because all we do is play, play and play. But last Saturday was even more special, as we had to entertain our extended family who came to visit us from Australia. And that means more play!
As usual, we woke up at 10.30a.m and then went to the country club. My sisters and cousin went to play the latest came console while my aunt and mother went to sit down to chit-chat. My uncle, father and I then went to play tennis. My father is good in tennis, as he took it as a CCA in university, and I put up strong resistance before I stumbuled and lost. Fortunately, the match against my uncle was a different story, and I won him quite comfortably.
After lunch and shower, we went to East Coast Park, where we could do recreational activities such as rollerblading and cycling. All of us chose cycling and we started off. We cycled all the way to Ford Road and back. It was tiring no doubt, but it was also enjoyable and healthy. We cycled for the whole afternoon and until my mother said it was dinnertime, I did not realise how hungry I was.
We went to the Jumbo outlet at East Coast Park for a seafood dinner and as expected, it was good. We ate all sorts of seafood such as crabs, prawns and fish wlile watching the sunset and the view was magnificient and we talked while eating. After finishing the food, we reluctantly went home.
It was a moment I enjoyed with my family. It may seem normal, but I know that my parents took a day off just to take us out. Yes, adults nowadays are more busy, but parents should also spend more time to bond with their family. I am very fortumate to have parents who always spend time with us, and I will always appreciate it.
